Instead of just giving you advice like most consultants do, we will work closely with your organization to develop systems, processes, and documentation according to the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA)’s requirements. We will take your organization step by step through the process of becoming a SWDA Funded TP – from getting your organization approved to getting your courses accredited to developing systems and putting them in place so you can fulfil your responsibilities as a SWDA Approved Training Provider.
We will be there when it is time for SWDA to audit your organization, and we will be there to help you with the day-to-day task of handling SWDA TP-related matters. In fact, we will be by your side throughout your SWDA TP journey.

Who is SWDA Funded Training Provider (SWDA TP)?
Organisation offers courses that are funded by SWDA is a SWDA Funded Training Provider. The funded courses can be either WSQ or Non-WSQ courses (e.g. CASL).
There are 3 types of SWDA Funded Training Providers:
1. Public TP refers to an institution that offers training to the general public, including corporate clients and/or public walk-ins.
2. Public and in-house TP refers to an institution that offers training to the general public and its own employees.
3. In-house TP refers to a company that conducts training for its own employees only

What is the SWDA Funded TP Application Process?
There are four steps to become SWDA Funded Training Provider.
1. Organisation Registration (OR)
- Evaluation of organisation’s suitability to enter and provide training/ assessement under SWDA
2. Course Accreditation
- Evaluation of TP’s course proposal
3. Roles and Responsibilities
- TP is required to deliver training and/or assessment in accordance to the requirements
4. Continuous Improvement Review
- Evaluation of TP’s management, operations and internal quality assurance systems and practices

What are the benefits of being a SWDA Approved Training Provider?
1. As a SWDA Approved TP, you can provide high-quality training that is recognized nationwide
Only SWDA Approved TPs can deliver WSQ courses, conduct WSQ assessments, and give out WSQ qualifications. As all SWDA TPs and the courses they conduct have been scrutinized by SWDA, the title of SWDA Approved TP lends credibility to your organization’s ability to provide high quality courses and qualifications that will be recognized anywhere in Singapore and neighbouring countries. In addition, only SWDA Funded (WSQ Course) Training Providers can use the WSQ Training logos on the certificates and statements of attainment that they issue. These logos are further indicators of high quality, and because they are sure to impress prospective employers, learners will flock to your courses.
2. WSQ courses are eligible for SWDA’s funding
Individuals can apply for funding worth up to 70% of the course fee.
Employers can apply for funding worth up to 70% of the course fee. On top of that, they can apply for absentee payroll funding of up to $4.50 per hour of attended training, capped at $100,000 per calendar year.

Why is it important to have a structured and systematic set of systems and capabilities in place?
Continuous improvement review is essential to evaluate and review TP’s management, operations, and internal quality assurance systems and practices. This is to ensure TP’s workflow and processes are adherence to SWDA’s standard. In the event that the requirement is not adhered to, SWDA reserves the right to suspend your SWDA Approved TP status up to a certain period.

Preliminary Assessment
Why do you need a preliminary assessment of your organisation before applying to become a SWDA Funded TP?
To attain a more sustainable, efficient and at the same time more cost-effective approach before venturing into a highly administrative and rigorous system in maintaining adult training standards in Singapore, we can conduct a preliminary assessment of your organisation on the suitability of becoming a SWDA Funded TP. During this process, we will evaluate your organisation’s suitability to becoming a SWDA Funded TP, identify the criteria gaps and advice on the actions to be taken.
What if the preliminary assessment shows that your organisation is not ready for SWDA Funded TP?
If after preliminary assessment evaluation, and the result shows that your organisation is not ready for SWDA Funded TP, but your organisation still think that SWDA Funded TP is still worth proceeding, then a more detailed understanding and collaboration can be better forged for this development.

What are the benefits of being a Non-WSQ Course Approved Training Provider?
1. Obtain subsidies by SWDA for your training organisation’s courses
After your organisation and course funding are approved, your course will be available in Training Partners Gateway for training grant applications.
Furthermore, all Singapore Citizens aged 25 may apply for funding directly from SkillsFuture Credit portal.
2. Your approved courses will be featured in the MySkillsFuture course portal.

Why do you need an Online Learning Technology / Learning Management System?
SWDA Approved TPs providing full qualifications are subjected to incorporate blended learning in their WSQ Full Qualification. Blended learning is the use of an appropriate mix of classroom learning, e-learning and workplace learning to improve learning efficacy and accessibility.
E-Learning refers to online learning that is usually delivered through a Learning Management System or technology-enabled learning.

Training Programme for Potential / Existing TPs
We have specially designed a WSQ approved training programme “Develop Training Systems and Capabilities” for training providers aiming to equip their staff with effective & efficient skills and knowledge in training system planning and implementation, which includes the process flow [what, who, when, why and how] of tasks as well as managing teams in a training organization.
Upon completing the training programme, learners will be equipped with the needed skills to operate a training organization in accordance with SWDA’s requirement.
